Mark McNairy has embodied his classic aesthetic for decades. Starting out as women's sportswear designer for the label Finis in the late '80s, McNairy transitioned over to menswear for 68 & Brothers in the '90s.
His preppy sensibility–derived from his North Carolina upbringing - captured the interest of Ivy League brand J. Press which named him Creative Director in 2005 in an attempt to attract a more youthful following. Most recently, McNairy launched his own label, Mark McNairy New Amsterdam, originally focused on footwear, which he is expanding to include vintage-inspired apparel.
