Mociun

Brooklyn-based designer Caitlin Mociun left her native California at the age of 12 and spent six years living and traveling throughout Asia and Europe, with extended stays in both Malaysia and Prague. At 18 she returned to the States to attend the Rhode Island School of Design to study textile design. Drawing inspiration from things as varied as the vegetables she buys from her local grocer to some of the rarest creatures to be found at the natural history museum, her creations speaks as much to a sense of youthful discovery and creation as it does to traditional conceptions of aesthetics.
